Duthil
Duthil is a small village and civil parish in Badenoch and Strathspey, in the Highland council area of Scotland. It is located approximately 5 miles (8 km) northwest of Carrbridge and 7 miles (11 km) southeast of Grantown-on-Spey.
The name "Duthil" is derived from the Gaelic "Dubh-thull," meaning "black slope" or "dark hill." The area is characterized by its moorland and forestry.
Historically, Duthil has been associated with Clan Grant. The old parish church, Duthil Old Parish Church, contains a Grant burial ground. This church is a Category A listed building.
