Rosaline (band)
Rosaline was an American post-hardcore band formed in Syracuse, New York, in 2002. The band consisted of vocalist Scott McAvinney, guitarists Chris Burns and Ryan Weaver, bassist Jeff Andrews, and drummer Pat Noonan.
Rosaline gained attention through extensive touring and self-released EPs before signing with Militia Group Records. They released their debut full-length album, The Daily Grind, in 2005. Their music blended elements of emo, post-hardcore, and alternative rock, characterized by emotionally charged vocals, intricate guitar work, and dynamic song structures.
Following the release of The Daily Grind, Rosaline toured extensively throughout the United States and Canada, sharing the stage with bands such as Hawthorne Heights, Senses Fail, and Cartel. They garnered a dedicated fanbase and received positive reviews for their energetic live performances.
In 2008, Rosaline released their second full-length album, A Constant Conversation, on Academy Fight Song Records. The album showcased a more mature and refined sound, while still retaining the band's signature energy and emotion.
After the release of A Constant Conversation, Rosaline continued to tour and write new material. However, the band eventually went on hiatus, with members pursuing other musical projects. While they have not officially disbanded, they have not released new music or toured in several years.
Rosaline is remembered as a significant contributor to the mid-2000s post-hardcore scene, known for their passionate music and dedicated fanbase.
