SS Colemere (1915)
The SS Colemere was a British cargo steamship built in 1915 by William Gray & Company Ltd. in West Hartlepool, England. She was owned by the British India Steam Navigation Co Ltd.
She served primarily as a merchant vessel, transporting goods and supplies. During World War I, like many merchant ships, she was likely involved in supporting the war effort, although specific details of her wartime service require further research.
The Colemere's career ended on 19 October 1917 when she was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-95 approximately 150 nautical miles west-southwest of Bishop Rock, Isles of Scilly. Several crew members were lost in the sinking.
