Rathaus Neukölln (Berlin U-Bahn)
Rathaus Neukölln is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the U7 line in the Neukölln district of Berlin. The station is named after the Neukölln Town Hall (Rathaus Neukölln), which is situated nearby. It is located beneath Karl-Marx-Straße, the main shopping street in Neukölln.
The station opened on April 11, 1926, as part of the extension of the U7 (then known as the Linie C) from Hasenheide to Bergstraße (now Karl-Marx-Straße). It was originally designed by Alfred Grenander.
Rathaus Neukölln is a two-platform station with a central island platform. The station's design is relatively simple, featuring tiled walls and supporting columns. The station is a vital transportation hub for the Neukölln area, providing access to the Rathaus, shopping areas, and residential neighborhoods. Passengers can transfer to various bus lines at street level.
