Miwa Asao

Miwa Asao (浅尾 美和, born February 17, 1986) is a retired Japanese beach volleyball player. She was known for her athleticism and photogenic appearance, which garnered her significant media attention and made her a popular figure in Japan.

Asao began her beach volleyball career in high school. She competed in numerous national and international tournaments, often partnering with other prominent Japanese players. While she achieved some success on the Japan Beach Volleyball Tour and other regional competitions, she did not achieve major international titles.

Her popularity transcended the sport, leading to numerous endorsements, television appearances, and magazine features. This made her a celebrity figure and helped to raise the profile of beach volleyball in Japan.
