Witches' Brew (film)

Witches' Brew is a 1980 American horror-comedy film directed by Herbert L. Strock and starring Lana Wood, Teri Garr, and Richard Benjamin. It is a loose adaptation of Fritz Leiber's 1943 short story of the same name, although the film significantly departs from the source material.

The plot centers on Margaret Lightman (Teri Garr), a frustrated and insecure housewife who believes her professor husband, Jonathan (Richard Benjamin), is being seduced by his attractive and ambitious student, Vivian Cross (Lana Wood). Seeking to spice up her marriage and gain an advantage, Margaret resorts to using a book of witchcraft recipes she discovers in her home. Her amateur attempts at magic initially lead to humorous and disastrous consequences, but the situation escalates as the spells become more powerful and unpredictable, affecting not only her marriage but also the lives of everyone around her. The film blends elements of slapstick comedy, domestic satire, and light horror.
