WJMN-TV

WJMN-TV is a television station licensed to Marquette, Michigan, United States, serving the Marquette and Escanaba television market. It broadcasts a digital signal on VHF channel 12 from a transmitter near Skandia, Michigan. WJMN-TV is a dual ABC/CBS affiliate, owned by Nexstar Media Group.

The station first signed on the air in 1969 as a CBS affiliate. Prior to the sign-on of WJMN, the Upper Peninsula was one of the few areas in the United States without full network service, relying on translators of stations from Green Bay, Wisconsin. In 1995, it added a secondary affiliation with ABC; this arrangement was initially on a part-time basis, expanding to full-time in 2003.

The station's programming includes network shows from both ABC and CBS, syndicated programs, and local news. WJMN-TV provides local news coverage focused on the central and eastern portions of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. As a dual affiliate, the station schedules programming from both networks strategically to avoid significant conflicts, often prioritizing higher-rated programs or those of local interest.
