Bramshott

Bramshott is a village and civil parish in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It lies on the A3 road, near Liphook, and within the South Downs National Park.

The name "Bramshott" is thought to derive from the Old English words "brom" and "sceat", meaning "broom corner" or "broom district".

Historically, Bramshott's economy was largely agricultural. The village includes a church dedicated to St. Mary the Virgin, which dates back to the 12th century.

Bramshott Common, a large area of heathland, lies to the south of the village and is popular for walking and recreation. The area is part of the Wealden Heaths Special Protection Area.
