Rhombus (band)

Rhombus was a New Zealand dub/electronica band formed in Wellington in the early 2000s. Known for their fusion of dub, reggae, jazz, and electronica, Rhombus released three studio albums: Rhombus (2002), Future Reference (2004), and Lights (2008). They also released a live album and several EPs.

The band’s sound often incorporated live instrumentation with electronic elements, creating a distinctive and layered texture. They were a popular live act, performing extensively throughout New Zealand and internationally, including performances at major music festivals. Rhombus was noted for their improvisational approach to live performance, which allowed for unique and dynamic sets.

While the band has been relatively inactive in recent years, their music continues to be influential within the New Zealand dub and electronica scene. Key members included Simon Rycroft (Omega B) and Thomas Voyce.
