Stu Block
Stu Block (born January 26, 1977) is a Canadian-American vocalist, best known for his work as the former lead singer of the heavy metal band Iced Earth. Block joined Iced Earth in 2011, replacing Matt Barlow, and performed on the albums Dystopia, Plagues of Babylon, Incorruptible, and the EP 5 Songs.
Prior to joining Iced Earth, Block fronted the Canadian metal band Into Eternity for several years, contributing vocals to the albums Buried in Oblivion, The Scattering of Ashes, and Surpassing the Boundaries.
Block is known for his powerful and versatile vocal style, capable of delivering both melodic singing and aggressive harsh vocals. He departed from Iced Earth in 2021. After his departure from Iced Earth, Block has worked on various projects and collaborations within the metal music scene.
