Craveggia

Craveggia is a comune (municipality) located in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Italian region Piedmont. It is situated in the Vigezzo Valley, also known as the Valley of Painters.

The municipality borders Switzerland. Craveggia is historically known for its emigrants who traveled throughout Europe and beyond, particularly as chimney sweeps (known as spazzacamini). Many of these spazzacamini came from the Vigezzo Valley due to economic hardship.

The economy of Craveggia relies on tourism and agriculture. Its location in the Vigezzo Valley makes it a popular destination for hiking and skiing.
