Akpafu

Akpafu is the name of an ethnic group and their language, primarily located in the Volta Region of Ghana. The Akpafu people inhabit the town of Akpafu, which is further divided into several sub-towns.

Language: The Akpafu language, also known as Siwu, is a Ghana–Togo Mountain language (formerly known as Togo Remnant languages) belonging to the Kwa branch of the Niger-Congo language family. It is closely related to other languages spoken in the same region, such as Lolobi and Bowili.

Culture and Society: The Akpafu people have a rich cultural heritage, characterized by distinct traditions, customs, and social structures. Agriculture plays a significant role in their economy, with farming being a primary occupation. Traditional beliefs and practices are interwoven with contemporary life.
