Persons Unknown (play)
Persons Unknown is a 1929 thriller play by Edgar Wallace. It centers around the trial of a man accused of murder, with much of the plot revolving around the mysterious circumstances surrounding the victim's death and the various suspects who might have had a motive. Wallace, known for his prolific output of crime fiction, crafts a narrative filled with twists and turns, keeping the audience guessing until the final revelation. The play relies heavily on suspense and the unraveling of secrets to maintain its dramatic tension. Its critical and popular success, however, is not as widely documented as some of Wallace's other stage works.
