Pryvillia

Pryvillia is a village located in the Kyiv Oblast (province) of northern Ukraine. It is situated within the Ivankiv Raion (district). Pryvillia is located in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, an area evacuated following the Chernobyl disaster in 1986. While the area remains heavily restricted due to residual radioactive contamination, limited repopulation efforts by former residents and some tourist visits are permitted under specific regulations. Pryvillia is smaller than the nearby abandoned city of Pripyat and lacks the same level of infrastructural development, but shares a similar fate as a settlement significantly impacted by the Chernobyl disaster. The village's economy prior to the disaster was primarily agricultural. Today, limited maintenance of the area is conducted by state agencies to mitigate hazards and monitor environmental conditions.
