Mudiste

Mudiste is a village in Põhja-Sakala Parish, Viljandi County, Estonia. It is located approximately 9 km (5.6 mi) northwest of Võhma, near the border with Järva County.

The village is notable for being the birthplace of Estonian writer and politician Juhan Kukk, who served as the State Elder (head of state) of Estonia in 1922–1923.

Historically, the area was part of the Suure-Kõpu Parish. The landscape is characterized by agricultural land interspersed with forests and bogs. The population is relatively small, typical of rural Estonian villages.
