Eddie Loyden (footballer)

Eddie Loyden (born 1939) is an English former professional footballer who played as a winger.

Loyden began his career at Everton, joining as an amateur before turning professional in 1957. He failed to establish himself in the first team, making only a handful of appearances. He subsequently moved to Chester in 1960, where he enjoyed a more prominent role.

Loyden spent several seasons at Chester, becoming a regular in the side. His performances as a winger were noted for his speed and dribbling ability. His time at Chester was arguably the most successful period of his playing career.
