Wang Ning (news anchor)

Wang Ning (simplified Chinese: 王宁; traditional Chinese: 王寧; pinyin: Wáng Níng; born July 1964) is a Chinese news anchor for China Central Television (CCTV), the state broadcaster. She is best known for her role as one of the main newsreaders on Xinwen Lianbo, CCTV's flagship evening news program, a position she has held since 1996.

Wang Ning graduated from the Communication University of China (formerly Beijing Broadcasting Institute). Before joining Xinwen Lianbo, she worked on other CCTV news programs. She is known for her professional demeanor, clear delivery, and calm presentation style. During her tenure, she has witnessed and reported on numerous major national and international events. She is married to fellow CCTV personality, Hai Xia, who is also a Xinwen Lianbo news anchor.
