Maurice Black (Australian politician)

Maurice Black (born 19 December 1918, died 15 May 1996) was an Australian politician who served as a member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly. He represented the electorate of Monbulk from 1962 to 1976 for the Liberal Party.

Black was born in Melbourne and educated at Melbourne High School. Prior to entering politics, he worked as a grazier and orchardist.

During his time in parliament, Black served on various committees. He was particularly interested in issues related to agriculture and rural communities.

Following his retirement from politics in 1976, Black remained active in community affairs. He died in 1996 at the age of 77.
