Ron Anderson (ice hockey, born 1948)

Ron Anderson (born April 14, 1948) is a retired professional ice hockey player. A defenseman, he played in the National Hockey League (NHL) and World Hockey Association (WHA).

Anderson played for the California Seals, Philadelphia Flyers, Vancouver Canucks, and St. Louis Blues in the NHL. In the WHA, he played for the Philadelphia Blazers/Vancouver Blazers, Calgary Cowboys, and Quebec Nordiques.

Anderson was known for his physical play and defensive capabilities. His NHL career spanned from 1968 to 1973, while his WHA career continued from 1973 to 1978. He did not accumulate significant offensive statistics, focusing instead on shutting down opposing forwards and providing a strong presence on the blue line. His longest tenure was with the Vancouver Blazers of the WHA.
