Ron Welty

Ron Welty (born February 1, 1971) is an American musician best known as the former drummer for the American punk rock band The Offspring. He joined the band in 1987, replacing James Lilja, and remained their drummer until 2003. During his time with The Offspring, he performed on all of their major studio albums, including the breakthrough album Smash (1994). He left the band due to creative differences and to pursue other musical projects, including Steady Ground, a band he formed with former members of The Vandals and Assorted Jelly Beans. Welty also manages his own band, Against All Authority, and plays drums in another band called Dexter and The Offsprings.
