The Twilight Zone (radio series)
The Twilight Zone (radio series) was a 2002 radio drama revival of the original Twilight Zone television anthology series. Produced by Carl Amari of Falcon Picture Group in association with Alan Ladd Jr. and directed by Yuri Rasovsky, it presented updated audio adaptations of classic Twilight Zone episodes, as well as some newly written stories.
The series featured a variety of well-known actors in the leading roles, including Stacy Keach as the narrator (taking on a role similar to Rod Serling in the television series), Jason Alexander, Lou Diamond Phillips, Blair Underwood, Adam West, and Hattie Winston, among others.
Each episode included a brief introduction and closing narration from Keach. The adaptations sought to maintain the tone and themes of the original television show, exploring the strange, the supernatural, and the anxieties of the human condition.
The radio series was distributed to stations across the United States and syndicated internationally. While its run was finite, it helped to reintroduce The Twilight Zone to a new generation and allowed long-time fans to experience the stories in a different medium. It is notable for its quality production values, strong performances, and faithful adaptation of the source material.
