Clarke Hinkle
Clarke Hinkle (April 19, 1909 – November 9, 1988) was an American professional football player who was a fullback and linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for the Green Bay Packers from 1932 to 1941. Hinkle was a key member of the Packers' championship teams of the 1930s, playing under coach Curly Lambeau.
Hinkle was known for his powerful running style and blocking ability on offense, as well as his hard-hitting tackling and leadership on defense. He earned All-Pro honors multiple times and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1964. He was also named to the NFL's All-Decade Team of the 1930s.
Before his professional career, Hinkle played college football at Bucknell University, where he excelled as a running back and linebacker. He was a consensus All-American in 1931.
After retiring from the NFL, Hinkle remained active in the Green Bay community. He is remembered as one of the greatest players in Packers history.
