HMS Sparrow (1796)

HMS Sparrow was a British Royal Navy 16-gun ship sloop, launched in 1796. She was built by John Dudman at Deptford Wharf. Her career was relatively short, primarily serving during the French Revolutionary Wars.

Sparrow participated in various convoy escort duties and patrols in the English Channel and the North Sea. She was also involved in the interception of enemy privateers and merchant vessels.
