Mountain (TV series)
Mountain is a Canadian drama television series that aired on Citytv and CBC Television in Canada, and on The WB in the United States. The series premiered on September 22, 2004, and was cancelled after one season, with the final episode airing on January 20, 2005.
The show centered on the fictional ski resort town of Whistler, British Columbia, and focused on the interconnected lives of several characters. The storylines explored themes of ambition, romance, family drama, and the challenges of running a successful resort town. Primary characters included David Carver, the resort's new owner, and his complex relationships with those around him, including his estranged brother Max Raffe, and his childhood friend Shelley. The series aimed to depict the alluring lifestyle of those living in a mountain resort environment while also highlighting the inherent conflicts and pressures involved.
The series struggled with low ratings and was not renewed for a second season.
