Skytrain (Miami International Airport)

The Skytrain is an automated people mover (APM) system located within Miami International Airport (MIA) in Miami-Dade County, Florida. It consists of four stations along two parallel elevated guideways located inside Concourse D. The system connects the main terminal building to different sections of Concourse D, reducing walking distances for passengers.

The Skytrain system operates continuously, transporting passengers between the four stations. Passengers access the system free of charge. The primary purpose of the Skytrain is to expedite the movement of travelers within the expansive Concourse D, particularly for connecting flights or those with mobility challenges. The system improves the overall passenger experience by minimizing walking time and congestion.

The Skytrain system is distinct from the MIA Mover, another automated people mover system at Miami International Airport, which connects the main terminal to the Miami Intermodal Center (MIC). The MIA Mover facilitates transportation to rental car facilities, the Tri-Rail commuter rail system, and Metrorail rapid transit.
