Bridge of the Americas (El Paso–Ciudad Juárez)

The Bridge of the Americas (also known as the "Cordova Bridge" and often abbreviated BOTA) is an international bridge spanning the Rio Grande (Río Bravo del Norte) and connecting the city of El Paso, Texas, in the United States, with Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, in Mexico. It is a major port of entry for both commercial and passenger vehicles.

The bridge is owned and operated jointly by the United States and Mexican federal governments. The U.S. side is managed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), while the Mexican side is managed by the Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT).

The Bridge of the Americas handles a significant amount of trade and tourism between the two countries. It is one of the busiest land border crossings in the world, facilitating the flow of goods, services, and people. Its strategic location makes it a vital component of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and its successor, the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).

The bridge's infrastructure includes multiple lanes for both commercial and passenger traffic, as well as pedestrian walkways. Efforts are continually made to improve and expand the bridge's capacity to accommodate growing cross-border traffic. Waiting times can vary depending on the time of day and the volume of traffic.
