Mo Marley

Mo Marley (Maureen "Mo" Marley) is an English football coach and former player. She is best known for her long and successful tenure managing the England Women's national under-19 football team and later the under-20 team.

As a player, Marley was a defender. She earned 41 caps for the England women's national team between 1982 and 1996. During her playing career, she represented teams such as Liverpool Ladies.

Following her retirement from playing, Marley transitioned into coaching. She took charge of the England Women's under-19 team in 2002 and subsequently the under-20 team. Under her guidance, the under-19s achieved significant success, winning the UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship in 2009. She oversaw the development of numerous players who went on to become key members of the senior England squad.

In 2018, Marley served as interim manager of the senior England women's national team for a brief period following the departure of Mark Sampson and before the appointment of Phil Neville. She oversaw a couple of World Cup qualifying matches during this time.

Marley is highly regarded within English football for her contributions to the women's game, particularly her dedication to youth development and her impact on the progression of talented young players. She left her role with the FA in 2018.
