New Party (Serbia)
The New Party (Nova Stranka) is a liberal political party in Serbia. It was founded in 2013 by Zoran Živković, former Prime Minister of Serbia.
The party positions itself on the centre-right to centre of the political spectrum, advocating for economic liberalism, European integration, the rule of law, and combating corruption. Key policy areas include judicial reform, privatization, and strengthening democratic institutions.
The New Party has participated in several parliamentary elections, often forming coalitions with other opposition parties. Their electoral success has varied, and they have experienced periods both inside and outside of the National Assembly.
The party's leadership, beyond Zoran Živković, has included prominent figures in Serbian politics. The New Party continues to be a participant in the Serbian political landscape, contributing to debates on domestic and foreign policy.
