Canasta (band)

Canasta was an American indie rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 2004. The band was known for its orchestral indie rock sound, incorporating elements of chamber pop and progressive rock into their music.

Canasta’s core members were Matt Priest (vocals, guitar), Elizabeth Weida (violin, vocals), Ryan Tracy (drums, percussion), and Andrew Harris (bass). The band's lineup saw some changes over the years, with various musicians contributing to their recordings and performances.

Canasta released several albums and EPs throughout their career, including:
