Álex Suárez (basketball)

Álex Suárez Abreu (born September 27, 1993) is a Spanish professional basketball player who currently plays for Dreamland Gran Canaria of the Liga ACB. A power forward and small forward, Suárez has represented Spain at the youth international level.

Suárez began his professional career with Joventut Badalona's youth system before making his debut with the senior team in 2012. He played for Joventut until 2015.

Following his time with Joventut, Suárez has played for clubs including Real Madrid (2015-2017, although spending most of the time on loan), Bilbao Basket (2017-2018), Iberostar Tenerife (2018-2020), and Unicaja Málaga (2020-2023).

In July 2023, Suárez signed with Dreamland Gran Canaria.

Throughout his career, Suárez has been known for his versatility and ability to contribute on both ends of the court. He has demonstrated a solid outside shooting touch, as well as the ability to rebound and defend multiple positions.
