Narach (lake)
Narach, also spelled Naroč, is the largest lake in Belarus. It is located in the Minsk Region, within the Narach-Nyazhanski landscape complex, a popular tourist destination.
Geography:
Lake Narach has a surface area of approximately 79.6 square kilometers (30.7 square miles). Its maximum depth reaches around 24.8 meters (81 feet). The lake is fed by numerous small streams and groundwater, and it drains into the Neris River (also known as the Viliya). The surrounding landscape is characterized by mixed forests, meadows, and smaller lakes.
Ecology:
Narach is known for its diverse ecosystem. The lake is home to a variety of fish species, including pike, perch, bream, and eel.
