Manu Sánchez (footballer, born 1996)
Manuel "Manu" Sánchez de la Peña Campos (born 24 July 1996), commonly known as Manu Sánchez, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays primarily as a left-back.
Career
Born in Córdoba, Andalusia, Sánchez began his youth career at Séneca CF before joining Real Betis' youth setup in 2012. After progressing through the ranks, he began playing for the club's reserve team, Real Betis B.
Sánchez made his senior debut for Real Betis B in the Segunda División B. He quickly became a regular starter, showcasing his defensive skills and contributing to the team's attacking play.
In 2019, Sánchez was promoted to the Real Betis first team. He made his La Liga debut against Getafe CF on 25 August 2019. Although he initially struggled to secure a consistent starting place, he gradually became an important member of the squad, providing depth at left-back and occasional appearances further up the field.
