Baskama
Baskama is a small village located in the northern region of Nepal, specifically within the Karnali Province. The village is primarily populated by people of the Tamang and Chettri ethnic groups. Agriculture, including farming of rice, maize, and millet, forms the backbone of the local economy. Due to its remote location, Baskama faces challenges related to accessibility, limited infrastructure (including roads, electricity, and communication networks), and access to education and healthcare facilities. The lifestyle in Baskama is largely traditional, reflecting the cultural heritage of the region. The village experiences a subtropical highland climate with distinct wet and dry seasons. Efforts are being made to improve living conditions through development projects focusing on infrastructure, education, and healthcare.
