Carsten Koch (politician)

Carsten Koch (born July 4, 1945, in Copenhagen) is a Danish politician belonging to the Social Democrats (Socialdemokratiet). He served as a Member of Parliament (Folketinget) for the Social Democrats from 1971 to 1994 and again from 1998 to 2001.

Koch held several ministerial positions during his time in parliament. He served as Minister of Taxation from 1993 to 1994 under Prime Minister Poul Nyrup Rasmussen. Later, he served as Minister for Health from 2000 to 2001, also under Prime Minister Poul Nyrup Rasmussen.

Following his political career, Koch has held various positions in the private sector and has been involved in advisory roles. He has been a prominent voice in discussions concerning welfare policies and pension systems in Denmark.
