Desmundo

Desmundo, also spelled "Des-mundo," is a Portuguese term generally referring to the experience of displacement, alienation, and disconnection from one's homeland, culture, and identity. It encapsulates a profound sense of being uprooted and lost, both geographically and psychologically. The term often carries a connotation of saudade, a deep emotional state of nostalgic longing for something or someone that is absent.
