Alex Blackwell (basketball)

Alex Blackwell is an Australian former professional basketball player. She played as a guard and was known for her scoring ability and tenacious defense.

Blackwell enjoyed a successful career in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) in Australia. She played for multiple teams, including the Sydney Uni Flames and the Townsville Fire. She was a consistent performer throughout her WNBL career, earning recognition for her contributions on both ends of the court.

Beyond the WNBL, Blackwell also represented Australia in international competitions. She was a member of the Australian national team, the Opals, and competed in events such as the FIBA World Championship for Women (now the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup).

Since retiring from professional basketball, Blackwell has remained involved in the sport through coaching and mentoring roles. She has also pursued other professional opportunities outside of basketball.
