Tartarium
A Tartarium, in the context of internet conspiracy theories and fringe historical narratives, is a purported advanced, global civilization that existed before what is commonly accepted as recorded history. Adherents of this theory suggest that Tartaria possessed advanced technology, a unique culture, and a vast empire, possibly spanning continents.
This supposed civilization is often depicted as being wiped out or deliberately erased from history through a concerted effort involving natural disasters (such as a global mud flood) and the manipulation of historical records by powerful entities. Common markers attributed to Tartaria include specific architectural styles (often featuring intricate star forts and domed buildings), advanced energy technologies (such as free energy systems), and a sophisticated societal structure.
The concept of Tartaria is not supported by mainstream historical or scientific evidence. Academic historians and archaeologists generally dismiss the idea as a pseudoscientific conspiracy theory based on misinterpretations of historical maps, architectural designs, and historical events. The name "Tartary" was historically used by Europeans to refer to vast areas of Central Asia, Siberia, and Manchuria inhabited by various Turkic, Mongolic, and other peoples. It was a general geographical term, not indicative of a unified civilization. The modern Tartarian conspiracy theory bears little resemblance to this historical usage. The narrative often incorporates elements of anti-establishment sentiment, distrust of mainstream narratives, and a desire to uncover hidden truths about the past.
