O2 (O-Town album)
O2 is the second studio album by American boy band O-Town, released on November 12, 2002, by J Records. The album followed their self-titled debut album, O-Town, released in 2001.
O2 showcased a slight shift in O-Town's musical style, incorporating more mature themes and sounds compared to their earlier, more bubblegum-pop oriented work. While still primarily a pop album, O2 attempted to demonstrate the group's growth and vocal abilities.
The album spawned the singles "We Fit Together" and "Love Should Be a Crime." "We Fit Together" achieved moderate success, while "Love Should Be a Crime" performed less well.
Commercially, O2 did not reach the same level of success as O-Town's debut album. While it did debut in the top 40 of the Billboard 200 chart, its sales declined relatively quickly. Critical reception of O2 was mixed, with some critics praising the band's attempt to mature their sound, while others felt the album lacked originality and memorable tracks.
Following the release of O2, O-Town disbanded in 2003. The group later reunited in 2013, releasing new music and touring.
