Jon Lewis (cricketer, born 1970)
Jon Lewis (born 4 September 1970) is a Welsh former cricketer who played primarily for Glamorgan County Cricket Club. He was a right-arm medium-fast bowler and a right-handed batsman.
Lewis began his first-class career with Glamorgan in 1991 and quickly established himself as a key member of their bowling attack. He was a consistent performer, known for his accuracy and ability to swing the ball. He played for Glamorgan for the entirety of his professional career, spanning from 1991 to 2005.
He was a part of the Glamorgan team that won the County Championship in 1997, a significant achievement for the club. Throughout his career, Lewis took over 500 first-class wickets.
After retiring from playing, Lewis moved into coaching. He has held various coaching positions, including roles with Glamorgan's youth setup and as a bowling coach for the England Lions.
