John Maxwell (golfer)

John Maxwell (born December 19, 1951) is an American professional golfer.

Maxwell played on the PGA Tour and the Champions Tour (formerly the Senior PGA Tour). He turned professional in 1974. His best year on the PGA Tour was 1981, when he finished tied for second at the Bay Hill Citrus Classic and the Tallahassee Open. He earned his only PGA Tour victory in 1986 at the Provident Classic.

After turning 50, Maxwell joined the Champions Tour. His best finish was a tie for second at the 2002 SBC Championship.
