Jim Dobbin (footballer)
Jim Dobbin (born 23 May 1963) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a forward.
Dobbin began his career with Celtic, making a handful of appearances before moving to Partick Thistle in 1985. He spent five seasons at Firhill, becoming a regular goalscorer and a popular figure with the Thistle support.
In 1990, Dobbin signed for Hamilton Academical. After a spell with the Accies, he moved on to Forfar Athletic.
Following his time at Forfar, Dobbin played for a number of clubs in the Scottish lower leagues, including Albion Rovers and Clydebank, before retiring from professional football. Details of his career after leaving Forfar are less readily available.
After retiring from professional football, Dobbin has remained involved in the sport at an amateur level. Further details of his life beyond football are not widely documented.
