Magnus Bäcklund (singer)

Magnus Bäcklund (born 16 May 1965 in Österby, Finland) is a Finnish singer who rose to prominence as a member of the pop-rock duo Gyllene Tider Jr. He is most well-known for representing Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 alongside Jukka K, with the song "Freestyler." While their entry did not achieve high placement, the performance remains memorable. Prior to Eurovision, Bäcklund had a successful music career in Finland. Since Eurovision, he has continued to perform and release music, often focusing on popular genres within the Finnish music scene.
