Jón Sigurðsson (politician, born 1941)

Jón Sigurðsson (born December 31, 1941) is an Icelandic politician. He served as Minister of Industry and Commerce from 1987 to 1988 and as Minister of Finance from 1988 to 1991. He was a member of the Althing (Icelandic Parliament) for the Progressive Party from 1974 to 1995. Jón also held various positions within the Progressive Party, including serving as its vice-chairman. After his political career, he worked in the financial sector.
