QuinRose
QuinRose was a Japanese visual novel developer and publisher, primarily known for its otome games (dating sims targeted towards a female audience). Founded in 2000, the company gained significant popularity for its unique and often fantastical adaptations of well-known literary works, such as Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and Cinderella. These adaptations typically featured reimagined characters and romantic storylines aimed at female gamers.
QuinRose's games were characterized by their distinctive art style, elaborate character designs, and complex narratives that often explored mature themes. They developed games for various platforms, including PC, PlayStation Portable (PSP), PlayStation Vita, and mobile devices.
In 2015, QuinRose declared bankruptcy. While the original company ceased operations, its legacy continues to influence the otome game industry, and its games are still remembered by fans for their unique charm and storytelling. Several games were picked up and re-released by Idea Factory after QuinRose's closure.
