Edward Bowen (politician)

Edward Bowen (born circa 1839, died January 29, 1916) was a Canadian politician and lawyer. He served as a Member of Parliament (MP) in the House of Commons of Canada representing the riding of Chateauguay, Quebec from 1896 to 1900. He was a Liberal.

Bowen was educated at Upper Canada College and subsequently McGill University, earning degrees in both arts and law. He was called to the bar of Quebec in 1864 and practiced law in Montreal. Before entering federal politics, he was also involved in local municipal politics. In the House of Commons, he participated in debates and committees relevant to Quebec's interests. After his term as MP ended, he returned to his legal practice.
