Robert Banks (politician)
Robert Banks (born January 18, 1937) is a former British Conservative Party politician.
Banks served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Harrogate from 1974 to 1997. Prior to entering Parliament, he worked in business, particularly in the brewing industry.
During his time in Parliament, Banks served on various select committees, including the Agriculture Committee and the European Legislation Committee. He was known for his contributions to debates on agricultural policy and European affairs. He also took a particular interest in rural affairs and conservation.
Banks retired from Parliament at the 1997 general election.
