IB de Villiers

Abraham Benjamin "AB" de Villiers (born 17 February 1984) is a former South African international cricketer. Widely regarded as one of the greatest and most innovative batsmen of all time, de Villiers was known for his ability to play a wide variety of shots all around the wicket, earning him nicknames such as "Mr. 360" and "Superman."

De Villiers played for the South African national cricket team from 2004 to 2018, participating in 114 Test matches, 228 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 78 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). He captained South Africa in all three formats of the game.

Known for his athletic fielding and wicket-keeping abilities in his early career, de Villiers primarily focused on batting later in his career. He holds numerous records, including the fastest ODI century (31 balls), the fastest ODI 50 (16 balls), and the fastest ODI 150 (64 balls).

Following his international retirement in 2018, de Villiers continued to play franchise cricket, notably for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He retired from all forms of cricket in November 2021.
