Lwów (ship)

Lwów was the name of several ships, most notably:

  • STS Lwów: A Polish three-masted sailing frigate used as a training ship. Built in 1920 in Glasgow, Scotland, she served in the Polish Merchant Marine and later the Polish Navy, training generations of Polish sailors. She was replaced by the Dar Pomorza in 1930. The Lwów was notable for its long service and role in the development of Poland's maritime capabilities after World War I.

  • There may be other vessels named Lwów, referencing the Polish city now known as Lviv in Ukraine. These would likely be smaller vessels, possibly fishing boats or river craft, though information on them may be limited or unavailable in widely accessible sources.
