Blue Songs (film)

Blue Songs is a 1929 American pre-Code short musical film directed by Harry Sweet. It was produced by Max Mintz, and distributed by RKO Pictures. The film features the performing act of Gus Arnheim and his Cocoanut Grove Orchestra. It is primarily remembered for being one of the earliest examples of a film utilizing color film technology, specifically the Multicolor process, although it also exists in a black and white version. The film is notable for its use of musical numbers and its early attempt at cinematic color. While not widely remembered, it holds a small place in film history due to its experimental use of color technology during the early sound film era.
