District 7 (Zurich)

District 7 is a district of the city of Zurich, Switzerland. It is located on the right bank of the Limmat river, bordering districts 1, 6, 8, and 10, as well as the municipalities of Zollikon, Kilchberg, and Rüschlikon.

Known for its residential character and green spaces, District 7 encompasses several distinct neighborhoods, including Fluntern, Hottingen, Hirslanden, and Witikon. These neighborhoods vary in character and architecture, ranging from older, more traditional buildings to modern apartments and villas.

District 7 is home to several important institutions, including the FIFA headquarters (in the Sonnenberg neighborhood), the University Hospital Zurich, and the Zoo Zurich (located in Fluntern). The ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich) also has facilities within the district.
